FullSizeRenderIn a town known as Jaco in the center of Costa Rica, way up high in the rain forests, I leapt from a bamboo platform and flew high above the bushes and leaves, the trees and butterflies, connected to the thick chord above me by only a small metal clasp. The rain was drizzling down as it did for most of the week I was there, causing the steel chord to be slick and so even faster I sped. When I reached the end, my guide, Camillo, smiled broadly.

“How was that?” he asked.

“Amazing and scary,” I told him.

He laughed.

“You have nine more!”
